Log CanoeCasa de Suenos
HGTV 2002 Dream House of the year. Designed by Washington architect Suman Sorg of Sorg and Associates and landscaped by James van Sweden, this home blends beautifully into its natural surroundings.

Casa de Suenos is the only vacation home in Talbot County actually on the Chesapeake Bay, so those much talked about sunsets are yours to enjoy. The three bedroom, three and a half bath contemporary dream home has incredible water views from every room. The home is tastefully furnished, has wonderful artwork and has a flowing comfortable layout.

The master en suite has a wonderful Jacuzzi in the bathroom. The other bedrooms are upstairs reached by a spiral staircase.

The 2,800 square-foot house sits just 100 feet from the water and is divided into three sections, each with a steep pointed silvery white roof reminiscent of sailboats which appear to float over a meadow in a garden that flows together into the bay and the bay into the ocean. Highlights include a spiral staircase that connects the ground floor with a loft (2nd bedroom), sliding glass doors that open to the waterfront deck, three fireplaces, blue hardwood floors, and a courtyard.

This contempory home has a beautiful infinity pool with three waterfalls designed to look like they flow into the bay beyond. The landscaping around the pool creates a pond like environment, making the pool appear more like a natural swimming hole as the sides and bottom have been lined with black pebbled tile. The dark interior also has the added benefit of ensuring that the water is warm. The large deck surrounding the pool is a wonderful entertaining area.

When not playing swimming in the pool or relishing what we describe as "the best sunsets on the Eastern Shore," one can unwind in the Bose home theater enjoying an evening of DVDs. Bring your boat or rent one, Pack your picnic hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, cruise out to watch the sunset across the Chesapeake Bay and then head on down to Tilghman Island for a fine dining experience at one of the well known seafood restaurants. Of course that traditional steamed crab feast or grilled Rockfish is a must too - all caught right from the water's edge. You won't forget this Chesapeake Bay experience!
